2D Game - 2nd Year Student Project

Hope, is a teenage girl seeking a normal and undisturbed life at her new school. But troubles in the form of bullies cause her troubled past mental anguish to resurface and Hope spirals down into a manifestation of her own distorted nightmares. In an unknown world of hostile and roaming malicious monsters, Hope has to muster all the courage to overcome the odds and redeem herself.

My Experience

I was the Tech Lead and also in charge for most of the graphics and physics for my group project in my 2nd year. I handled setting up and maintaining the systems and components architecture of the game engine for the entire duration of the project in C++.

I also handled most of the technical rendering aspect of everything inside the project, utilising the openGL graphics library to render the 2D sprites, UI, cutscenes and spritesheets animation within the engine.

I also implemented 2D collision detection and response that I learned to simulate physics such as collision and gravity within the game engine.
